SY26-27 Registration will be open for families during the following periods: Incoming K: June 1st - June 30th, 2026 Incoming Pre-K and 1st-5th grade: April 1st - May 15th, 2026 If the number of interested families who register by the deadline exceeds the amount of slots available in accordance with our EEC license and staffing ratios, we will run a lottery. Families will be notified no later than June 1st (for incoming Pre-K and 1st-5th) or July 3rd (for incoming K) if their child has been assigned a slot. Students who are not assigned a slot will be automatically added to a wait list. Explorers' tuition rates for SY26-27 (updated 3/31) can be found here. Following family feedback, we have standardized rates across all locations and applied a modest 2.5% increase (staying below the SSA's 2.8% COLA estimate) to reflect projected increased staffing costs. Families with financial need may request financial assistance during the registration process. We do accept state vouchers. Please note that in order to be eligible to register for the 2026-27 school year, all balances (including late fees) from the 2025-2026 school year must be paid in full prior to June 30th. Explorers Before and After School Program is offered 5 days a week when school is in session. Students can be dropped off any time between 7am and the start of the school day. Students can be picked up any time between the end of the school day and 6pm. Families can register for either or both programs on a 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week schedule option. An annual $50 membership fee is required to secure your child a place in the program. This fee gives you access to our full program, and discount on non-school day and vacation week programming.

The Flyers After School program is thoughtfully designed to engage students beyond the bell through leadership development, project-based learning, and college and career readiness opportunities.

Framingham Public Schools Summer Flyers Academy provides free, engaging summer learning experiences for Framingham Public Schools students entering grades 7-12. Students will be able to choose between a variety of exciting programs based on their interests including filmmaking, athletics, creative writing, and career exploration. Programs run from July 6th-31st, Monday-Friday, from 9:30am-2:30pm and primarily take place at Cameron Middle School. Transportation and lunch is provided. See you this summer!

The FPS Department of Expanded Learning is excited to share that registration is now open for our Elementary Summer Programs: Summer Scene and Framingham Youth Theater. These programs offer fun, engaging, and enriching experiences for Framingham Public Schools students this summer. Meals and transportation for these programs are provided at no cost. Spots are limited, so don’t wait - register today! Important Registration Information Students must be registered as current Framingham Public Schools students in order to enroll in summer programming. Registration opens on Monday, February 2. Priority registration will remain open through March 6, 2026. After registration closes, if the number of interested families exceeds available slots, a lottery will be held. Families will be notified of their child’s enrollment status no later than March 13, 2026. Summer Scene Location: Stapleton Elementary School Dates: July 6 through August 7 - Families can register for individual weeks depending on their needs. Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm with Optional Extended Day from 7:30am-5:30pm (requires additional fee) Eligibility: FPS students entering Grades K through 6 for the 2026-27 school year Capacity: Up to 170 students per week Cost (New Pick Your Price Model): Core program (8:30-3:30): $0 to $200 per week /// Extended day: $0 to $100 per week Please note that transportation is not available for students enrolled in Extended Day. You must select Summer Scene + Extended Day during registration if you would like your child enrolled in Extended Day. Framingham Youth Theater Location: Cameron Middle School Dates: July 6 through July 31, 2026 Please Note: This is a four-week program. Students must register for all four weeks.
