Cameron After School Clubs

FPS After School Flyers clubs typically meet once per week for 10 weeks. All clubs are offered to middle school students free of charge. Session 1 Clubs run from October 5th - December 16th, 2026.

Description of Session 1 Clubs: 

Monday Clubs

Art Club: A space for students to express themselves through art, crafts, and hands-on projects. The club encourages imagination, experimentation, and trying new creative activities in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Yearbook Club with Mrs. Tunney: In Yearbook Club students plan and create the yearbook for Cameron. They learn about layout design and use an online platform to edit photos, design pages, and format the yearbook.

Nature Club: Explore the natural world with Ms. Jacque. Learn about the environment, go on nature walks, and participate in nature related arts and crafts activities.

Tuesday Clubs

Newspaper Club with Mrs. Ray: Participants will work as a team to write, edit, and publish articles for a school newspaper. The newspaper will feature coverage of school events, interviews with staff members and students, movie/book reviews, art, and more! Journalism skills such as writing, communication, and creativity will be practiced.

Soccer with Mr. DeSouza (Meets Tuesday and Wednesday): Students practice ball-handling, passing, shooting, and game strategy. The club encourages teamwork and offers plenty of time for games and skill-building activities.

Student Council with Mrs. Crisostomo: The Student Council Peer Leaders Club is a student leadership group designed to empower middle school students to serve as positive role models within the school community. Members develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while planning school events, supporting community service projects, welcoming new students, and helping promote a positive school culture. Peer Leaders work collaboratively to represent student voices, encourage inclusion, demonstrate respectful behavior, and inspire others through acts of service and leadership both inside and outside the classroom. **SELECTED STUDENTS ONLY - not open for general registration**

Lego and Board Games Club with Mrs. Van Roon: The LEGO and Board Game Club provides middle school students with a fun, supportive environment to build, create, and play while developing important skills. Through hands-on LEGO activities and collaborative board games, students will practice fine motor skills, following multistep directions, problem-solving, and flexible thinking. Group activities encourage teamwork, communication, turn-taking, and positive social interactions with peers. The club offers opportunities for students to build confidence, strengthen friendships, and enjoy learning through play.

Crochet Club with Mrs. Tunney: In crotchet club students learn a variety of stitches and work on projects of their choosing such pot holders, scarves, plush toys, and coasters. Students learn to read patterns and the short-hand language used in these patterns. Students who wish to knit, weave, or embroider will be given the opportunity to learn and expand these fiber arts skills.
